Reception

Our reception desk is located on the ground floor. From Friday 7 June 2024 reception is open 7.30am to 9.30pm.  For guests departing, our check out time is 10.00am.

WiFi

We have complimentary Wi-Fi installed throughout the entire hotel. Please contact reception if you require an internet voucher.

Wi-Fi is also available at the Village Plaza in the centre of the village.

Housekeeping

We strive to provide the best international standards of cleanliness for each and every suite. All apartments are serviced daily. Guests staying for more than 4 nights will receive a mid-stay linen change. The mid-stay linen change will normally occur on the middle day of your stay. For any additional servicing or housekeeping requirements please contact reception on ext. 9

Check In

Check in time is 3.00pm.  You can store your luggage with us should you wish to arrive earlier and utilise our change room facilities.  Check-in time can be advanced as rooms become available.

Check Out

Check out time is 10.00am. Late check outs are generally not available through winter. You may store your luggage with us for the day after you have checked out and use our change room facilities on level 2. Please dial ext. 9 for assistance.

Porter Service

If you require assistance with your luggage please contact reception on ext. 9 and our staff will assist you as soon as possible.

Breakfast

A full buffet breakfast is included in your accommodation tariff and is available from 7.30am - 9.30am daily in our Signature Restaurant. We do not offer room service for breakfast during winter.

Drying Room

A drying cupboard is located in every apartment for the convenience of drying your clothing.  Please note that in some of the rooms there are two switches to turn it on - one inside the cupboard and one on the kitchen wall next to the cupboard.  Alternatively, you are able to store your items on the ground floor in your ski locker. Please see reception for assistance.

Change Room Facility

For your convenience, we have change rooms located on the level 2 with lockers and shower facilities. This enables you to enjoy Mt Buller before our check in time or after you have checked out. Please see reception for locker keys.

Ski Lift Passes

A limited number of transferable ski lift passes are available for purchase daily from reception for a discounted price. We require either a credit card or photograph ID to hold in place of the lift pass. These passes must be returned to reception by 6.00pm unless you have prepaid for the following day. Ski lift passes are also available for purchase from the Mt Buller website, or Mt Buller Ski School - located opposite the base of the ABOM Express chair lift, approximately 100 meters from the hotel.

Children’s Play Room

Located on Level 2, our children’s play area contains a TV – showing the free kids movie channel, climbing and building blocks, toys, and a chalk board, as well as many puzzles and games. Children must be supervised at all times. No food, drink or glassware is permitted in this area. Children who are found to be noisy, unsociable or destructive shall be asked to leave the area.

Level 4 Family Spa

Our family spa room is located on the level 4 of the hotel. During winter, it is open daily between the hours of 10.00am – 8.00pm. Children must be supervised at all times. No food, drink or glassware is permitted in this area. Please contact reception on ext. 9 if you require additional towels. Appropriate swimwear must be worn.

Laundry Facilities

Open 10.00am to 10.00pm, for your convenience, washing machines and dryers are located in the guest laundry, located on level 4.  Each machine requires 1 x two-dollar and 1 x one-dollar coin. Sachets of washing powder are $3.00 Please contact reception should you require change or laundry detergent.

Boutique Items

For those belongings you may have left behind - toiletries and other items are available from Reception. Please refer to the BOUTIQUE ITEMS tab for details.

Supermarket Supplies

The Buller Grocer supermarket is located opposite the clock tower in the village centre.

Open 7 days per week throughout winter. *hours are subject to change

• Monday to Friday - 10am to 6pm

• Saturday & Sunday - 9am to 8pm

Ski & Snowboard Hire

All Breathtaker Club guests receive a 10% discount on rental equipment at Grimus Ski Centre, conveniently located next door to the hotel. (excludes retail purchases)

To receive the discount please obtain a ‘ski hire referral card’ from reception.

TV

Mt Buller has a digital TV signal. Each TV has been tuned to the available channels. Due to bad weather, you may experience occasional poor reception. Please do not attempt to re-tune the television at any time.

DVD Hire

We have a selection of DVD’s available to borrow from reception during reception opening hours. Pease see the DVD-List tab for available movies.

Mail

Please leave your outgoing mail at reception before 11.00am if you would like us to post it on your behalf. Alternatively, the post office is located at the Alpine Central for larger or overseas mail. Any mail received addressed to in-house guests will be delivered as soon as possible.

Newspapers

Daily newspapers are available at The Loft Bar.

Business Services

Should you require the services of some business or office equipment, please contact reception on extension 9. We can assist with photocopying, fax and email requirements. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the hotel, please see reception for a login code.

Fire and Evacuation

Fire exits are found at the end of each corridor on the second, third, fourth & fifth floors - as well as through the main door on the ground floor. All are marked with a green ‘EXIT’ sign. Should an evacuation occur, the Manager on duty will inform you.

The assembly point is outside Pension Grimus. Please assemble at this point and await further instruction.

Doctor/Medical Assistance

Mt Buller Medical Centre (operated by Mansfeild District Hospital) provides emergency care to mountain visitors and staff. The Medical centre is open every day from 9am to 5pm. Please call +613 5777 6912.

For after hours non-emergencies, free 24-hour clinical advice is available over the phone by calling 1300 606 024. For ambulance assistance please dial 000.

First Aid

Emergency Procedures

Please read the fire emergency information located on the rear of your entry door. 

Breathtaker Hotel and Spa is equipped with smoke detectors in all apartments, and all staff have been trained to respond in an emergency.

In the event of an emergency call 000 then, contact reception on ext. 9 to report the location of the emergency.

Persons discovering fire, smoke or unusual heat should remain calm and do the following:

• Dial ext. 9 and notify reception the nature of the problem – fire, smoke, heat, sparks

• What is the exact location of the fire?

• How serious is the fire?

• If the fire endangers your life or the life of others, close all doors and windows to contain the fire but do not lock them

• Immediately leave the area – always take your room key

• Stay low to the floor –use a wet cloth over your nose and mouth for easier breathing

Information centre

Information on Mt Buller and the surrounding area can be obtained from the clock tower located in the centre of the Mt Buller village and Alpine Central. This serves as an information centre for the district. Alternatively, phone +613 5777 6077 for further information, or contact reception. Additionally, there is a number of free brochures by the front entrance of the hotel and a free Mt Buller app which could assist with district information. 

Mt Buller - Alpine Central

Alpine Central offers a variety of activities including indoor bouldering and a trampoline park. Basketball, netball, tennis and badminton court hire can be booked by phoning the sports centre on +613 5777 6000.

Post Office

The post office is located at the Alpine Central. It is open 7 days per week. They can be contacted on +613 5777 6077.

Cinema

The village cinema is located at the Alpine Central in the main village. Please call +613 5777 6000 for session times and details or contact reception on ext. 9

Gymnasium

Alpine High Performance is located on the lower level of the Alpine Central building. Treadmills, exercise stations and free weights are available for your workout. For fees and enquiries phone +613 5777 6000.

Electrical Current

Our voltage is 240v. If required, a selection of international adapters are available from reception.

We offer complete conference and events packages tailor made to suit all requirements. Please contact the General Manager for details.
